How do you build a story that differentiates you from the pack? You can let music and the arts be an important part of that narrative. This workshop is designed to help students learn how to use their artistic assets to enhance their college applications and make those applications stand out.
Join us for a panel discussion uniquely tailored to high school students who want to continue their music studies in college, either as a major, a minor, or simply for fun. The panel will address how to leverage students' musical skills in the application process, discuss critical issues concerning financial planning, and review the importance of preparing recommendations, résumés, and recordings. The panel will also explore the many ways in which one can pursue music within the college community as well as how that participation can help build networks, open the door to opportunities, and elevate the college experience.
The evening’s moderator is Candace Channing, founder of Channing College Consulting. She is an internationally acclaimed flutist and master flute instructor who is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, with a bachelor’s degree of Music in Flute Performance and Literature and a concentration in Psychology.

I need help feeding a sweet Feral cat named Frankie (not sure if he is even a male) in Westport for the 3 weeks that I am out of the country. The cat has been living under the deck of a friend's house for the last 5 years but the friend has moved to Florida & her house has now sold. I will have the cat moved to my home when I return August 15th but it is not feasible to do so right now. The cat needs to adjust to a new territory which takes time. I will supply the food & water & all I need now is a caring cat person/lover. The cat is now residing on a property near the intersection of North Avenue & Cross Highway in Westport. I have been going over to feed him in the evenings & he is always there to greet me. Hoping someone can help. I leave July 23rd.Please contact me. Best Wishes. 203-858-5450
