The Weston Historical Society is proud to announce “Honoring Weston’s Own Fire and EMS Volunteers”. This tribute to Weston’s all-volunteer fire and EMS departments opens Sunday June 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with a Touch a Fire Truck event, and the launch of a new museum exhibit at The Weston Historical Society, 104 Weston Road in Weston, rain or shine.

Come meet some of Weston’s great fire and EMS volunteers who protect our community every day. Families and would-be First Responders can sit behind the wheel of a real Weston Fire Engine Truck and Ambulance.  Kids will be able to try on fire gear and boots, pick up the fire hose and wear a real firefighter helmet. Weston’s vintage 1934 Mack Fire Pumper, “Old Mack”, will be on display, and there will even be a fire-fighter related story-telling time.

The museum exhibit features 25 stunning color-on-metal photographs taken by Weston firefighter and professional photographer Bruce Ando.

Admission for “Honoring Weston’s Own” is $3 for members and $8 for member families/$5 for non-members and $10 for non-member families.

The Weston Historical Society would also like to thank our sponsors: Fairfield County Bank, Cohen & Wolf P.C., KMS Partners at Coldwell Banker, the Weston Volunteer Fire Department and Weston EMS, and Weston Kiwanis Foundation. Without their help, the program would not be possible.
