Saugatuck Socials: D Day

Posted by Barbara Peck on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 3:10 PM

The Westport Historical Society began in Saugatuck in 1889. Members read interesting historical documents aloud or shared local stories. We invite you to join us on Thursday, June 6, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, to share stories, poems, historic essays and music with the rest of our community. Listen as others present original works or pre-selected pieces from history such as the Declaration of Independence or the Gettysburg Address.

Memorialize the Normandy landings in 1944 with a selection of propaganda from both sides of the conflict that lead to the historic amphibious landing.

There is no charge for this event however reservations are recommended, register online at or call 203-222-1424 x5. Light refreshments will be served.
